An evening of live music in Kaleden is bringing together students, professionals, and the community for a shared cause. On Thursday, May 7th, Frog City Cafe will host a special two-part event supporting the music program at Princess Margaret High School.
 
The night begins at 6:00pm with a community-driven fundraiser performance featuring the school’s Junior and Senior Jazz Bands. With a suggested $5 donation at the door, this opening showcase directly supports student musicians, helping fund upcoming band trips and music opportunities. Up to 30 young performers will take the stage, offering a rare chance to experience the energy and talent of Penticton’s next generation of artists.
 
Following the student performances, the evening transitions into a ticketed headline concert by Robin Layne and the Rhythm Makers. This portion of the night is a professionally produced show, with tickets available through the venue ($30 adults, $20 youth, children under 10 free), delivering the vibrant, high-energy rhythms the group is known for.
 
Together, these two distinct experiences—one rooted in community fundraising, the other in world-class performance—create a unique event that highlights the power of collaboration in supporting youth arts.
