Following a sold out event last year, Penticton welcomes the return of BC’s Next Drag QUEERDO, a high-energy competition celebrating the weird, wild, and wonderful talents of BC’s queer performers.

Hosted by Khalora Form (two-time winner of Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar), this event promises runway drama, jaw-dropping performances, and a lip-sync battle for the crown—all under one roof at Penticton’s Luso Canadian Multicultural Society on September 27th at 7 PM.

Eight incredible drag artists from across BC will compete in three categories including Runway, a Q&A section, and an original showstopping number. The night culminates in a top-two lip-sync showdown, where the winner takes home a crown, cash, aesthetic & mental health care packages, and more courtesy of local sponsors. Plus, the fan-favourite “Khongeniality” award (voted on by the cast) goes to the kindest, kookiest competitor.

Taking place on September 26, 2026, at 7:00 PM, Queerdo is hosted at the Luso Canadian Multicultural Society in Penticton. Tickets are priced at $30 + tax and can be purchased at tinyurl.com/Queerdo2026. This event is open to attendees 16+ with adult supervision.

Meet the Judges:

A panel of drag royalty will oversee the competition, including Ella Lamoureux, the Okanagan’s beloved Two-Spirit Goddess; Sasha Zamolodchikova, the Mistress of Fine Arts; Ginger Snapp, the Bearded Beauty and 2018 winner of Kelowna’s Next Drag Superstar; and G Wiz from Victoria BC, who took home the crown in Penticton’s First Drag QUEERDO in 2025.

The Competing Artists:

Eight extraordinary drag artists from across BC will battle for the crown, each bringing their unique flair to the stage.

The 2026 lineup features Mr.Shellfish, burlesque dancer turned Salty Drag King; Myla Botomy, Kelowna’s pop punk queen; Krakken Baxx, a drag thing with a deep cosplay background hailing from Kamloops; and Connie Val, a charming drag clown from Kelowna BC. Also competing are Shiraz Deville, a versatile and captivating performer representing the Kooteneys and Strawberry Short King, who brings the big city’s best desserts from Vancouver BC. Returning for a second chance at the crown are two performers from Last years event; Calamine Sweetheart, the controlled chaos drag thing from Victoria BC and Vernon’s Other Nature, a devilish designer ready to bust into the winners circle after placing second in 2025.
